GGUF, LiteRT-LM and MLX formats, plus Apple's built-in model with nothing to download. Metal acceleration, and it keeps working on a plane or underground.

Honest guidance on what fits
Every model shows a gauge for how it fits your device, not a generic one. Downloads run in the background and can be paused and resumed.

Attach photos and ask about them, dictate a message, or send real audio to models that can listen. Replies can be read aloud.

Add an API key and those models appear in the same chat screen. Keys live in the iOS Keychain and are sent only to the provider they belong to.

Cloud conversations are marked as cloud. You pay your provider directly and Solum takes no cut.

Real system alarms, so they ring through silent mode and Focus. Ask what is set, and cancel by asking. Solum only ever sees the alarms it set itself — never the ones in your Clock app.

Price
Solum is free. Every on-device model, Apple Intelligence, cloud providers with your own keys, web search, weather, calendar and reminders, alarms and timers — all of it, with no subscription and no unlock. Cloud models bill you directly through the API key you bring; Solum adds nothing on top.
Where things go
Solum has no server, no account, and no analytics — there is nowhere for us to collect anything. What leaves your device is exactly what you choose, and the privacy policy lists all of it in a single table.
